Albert Einstein College of Medicine has appointed Amanda Raff, M.D. ‘98, as the senior associate dean for medical education. Dr. Raff, a professor of medicine and associate chair of medicine for undergraduate medical education, has served as interim associate dean for medical education since December 2024. She will start her new role on July 1, 2025.

A newly published randomized controlled trial in Frontiers in Medicine has found that the practice of Transcendental Meditation^® (TM) may significantly reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in Black men and women at high risk for heart disease. ChatGPT is an LLM which is gaining popularity. A new scoping review of 16 studies explores the role of ChatGPT in writing instruction in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) setting. The review highlights the effectiveness of ChatGPT in providing feedback, revising grammar, and idea generation. The review also highlights the limitations of ChatGPT.
